Imagine being born without arms. No arms to wrap around a friend ; no hands to hold the ones you love; no fingers to experience touch ; no way to lift or carry things. How much more difficult would life be if you were living without arms and hands? Or what about legs? Imagine if instead of no arms, you had no legs. No ability to dance, walk, run, or even stand. Now put both of those scenarios together… no arms and no legs. What would you do? How would that affect your everyday life? - Nick Vujicic

You may have seen this guy's photos proliferating on Facebook. His name is Nick Vujicic from Melbourne, Australia, born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs.
I just couldn't stop my eyes from sweating profusely, reading all these insurmountable things he encountered in his life because of his overwhelming disability. How he's struggled with the disability itself, the bullying at school, the insecurities, the depression, the loneliness, the feeling of worthlessness, the suicidal attempts... and how he's overcome all these and become such a great inspiration and motivation to people all over the world - these are just beyond my little mind's comprehension.
All I can do is just cry, stand in awe, be amazed.
I want to learn from him. And deep inside my heart, I want to be like him, more than a conqueror in all things.
You've got to stop what you are doing right now and start watching this video. You will need a handkerchief. Your shirt will do. ^_^
(Kamusta naman mga mata n'yo?)
Vujicic wrote that he keeps a pair of shoes in his closet due to his belief in miracles. [Source]
You can know more about him through Life Without Limbs, an organization that he himself has started. Yes! Despite of what we see as great disability, impairment and affliction, he's able to rise not just from the pit of personal issues but also in his career! He graduated from a university, became evangelist, motivational speaker, writer and best actor!
And now this man who has mastered all difficulties in life, this man who's not stopped by the obstacles that have come his way, is coming to Manila! Woohhoo!!!
I'll be there on May 18. It's my birthday! And I'm sooo excited!!! It's a date with Nick Vujicic. (Yeah! Come on!)
Oh, how I also love to attend the Unstoppable Dream, but it would be on Monday. Waaahhh!!!
