Ingredients
5 tomatoes, finely chopped1 can (227 grams) pineapple chunks, finely chopped, syrup reserved
1 tbsp onion, finely chopped
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp fresh parsley or celery, roughly chopped
¼ cup oil, for pan frying
4 pork chops or pork steaks
Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
Cooking Procedure
1. In a large bowl, mix tomatoes, pineapple chunks, 1 tbsp pineapple syrup, onion, garlic, vinegar, and a pinch of each salt and ground black pepper to taste. Stir in olive oil and parsley (or celery), and chill until ready to serve.2. Season pork chops with salt and ground black pepper. Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Sear pork chops and then cook both sides until done. Serve hot topped with salsa and with hot steamed rice.
