After our failed jogging attempt, we just took a walk from the mini-grocery store to our home. While walking, I grabbed the opportunity to use my camera and took the pictures of the laborers working diligently while harvesting the palay. The weather was good. The sun was hiding behind the clouds.
Some were working hard. Others were merely chatting around. Well, I don't know if they're just bystanders. In other words, I don't know these people.
After the view of the harvest, I was so blessed, that my heart and soul became hungry for the Word of God. So, I just want to remind myself of the passages which relate to the harvest. Here they are:
Isaiah 28:24 When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and working the soil?
Exodus 23:16 “Celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the firstfruits of the crops you sow in your field.“Celebrate the Festival of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your crops from the field.
Exodus 34:21 “Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.
Psalm 67:6 The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us.
Psalm 85:12 The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.
Proverbs 10:5 He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
Proverbs 20:4 Sluggards do not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing.
Matthew 9:37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
John 4:36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.
James 3:18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Indeed, the Word of God is sooo refreshing and uplifting. I'm inspired to work hard too! See the bold texts? Those are my favorites!
Happy Sunday everyone!
